Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)

Daniel's Review

This is a seriously underrated film, and takes cinema to the next level (sorry, I couldn’t help myself).

Directed by Edgar Wright, ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ follows Scott’s relationship problems, as he is constantly the dumpee, so when he meets the girl of his dreams named Ramona Flowers, as he must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends to be with her. The film is better than it sounds, believe me.

‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ is well crafted from Edgar Wright, with amazing cinematography by Bill Pope, and the editing is also incredibly assembled as it is superbly fast-paced and offers so much different genres all into one film, e.g. musical, action, comedy, romance.

The visual effects are also incredibly well produced, and feels like a videogame, but made as a film instead.

Many people may overlook the film’s story, over its sometimes absurd elements, but it is one enjoyable and entertaining ride.

‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ is a film experience like no other.
