Pulp Fiction (2015)

Rob's Review

The timeless 1994 movie classic 'Pulp Fiction' certainly lives up to the expectations it has for it. Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and stars many of today's well known actors Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta and Bruce Willis just to name to few.

The story revolves around three different stories, two gangster; Hit man/ a boxer/ and a date which isn't really a date. All three stories are connected in some way shape or form and in the major story arc revolves around well gangsters in America. The movie (which is one of the parts I absolutely love) isn't set in a normal timeline of events. By that I mean the stuff at the start of the movie happens after the stuff at the end of the movie, I think that is just a brilliantly written story, because it all still makes sense.

The acting in this movie, truly lived up to the last 21 years of hype. Brilliant finally seeing Samuel L. Jackson's brilliant and career making opening performance.

The film really makes its impression on me as a result, some of the scenes and stories the characters find themselves in was accomplished with fast paced witty humor. (please be advised that this film is rated R).

What on earth was in the suitcase? That was one issue I had with this movie. But I wont hold that against it, because that just adds to the mystery.

Another issue I had, which isn't a major fault, but one I would still like to address. The character Mia Wallace (played by Uma Thurman) was not in the movie as much I had hoped, as she is on the majority of posters for the movie as well as being on the front cover.

Overall the movie lived up to the hype that I was expecting, and the writing/direction and acting was brilliant. It is definitely in my top 10 favourite movies, but it isn't the best movie I have ever seen.
