The sixth installment in the immensely popular ‘Harry Potter’ series sees Harry, Ron and Hermione in their sixth year at Hogwarts, but dark forces try to break into Hogwarts and fulfill the dark wish Lord Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy to complete.

 

‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ is more slow paced than the previous five entries in the ‘Harry Potter’ saga, instead of focusing on big action-packed sequences, the film takes a more slower task in the character development of Tom Riddle, to a point even humanizing the character that we haven’t seen from the series main antagonist. However, losing the action sequences, makes the film less magical, but it is a solid film that explores into the mythology of the ‘Harry Potter’ universe, and basically sets up for the final two part finale with the ‘Deathly Hallows’.

 

‘Half-Blood Prince’ has a love triangle now, ‘Twilight’ must be unpleased, but while I love one of the relationships progression (Ron and Hermione), another relationship wasn’t quite developed enough (Harry and Ginny).

 

‘Half-Blood Prince’ is on the bottom of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, but that is far from bad, it is a solid film that explores character development, with some nice visual impressive scenes and has an emotional conclusion attached with fine acting from the cast, with praises to Tom Felton, Emma Watson and Michael Gambon.
