Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

Daniel's Review

The fourth installment in the ‘Harry Potter’ series, titled ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’.

‘Goblet of Fire’ sees Harry in his fourth year at Hogwarts, but this year Hogwarts will held a legendary event, The Triwizard Tournament. The tournament sees three students compete in a series of magical challenges, an example being stealing a golden egg from a fire breathing dragon. However, someone puts Harry’s name in the Goblet of Fire and must compete in this year’s Triwizard Tournament.

‘The Goblet of Fire’ continues the ‘Harry Potter’ series’ excellence in both quality and storytelling. ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’ started the film’s dark tone, but ‘Goblet of Fire’ gets even darker with the rise of Voldemort.

Also, the acting is great and the score is one of the franchise’s best. The Yule Ball’s score is fantastic and the set design is extremely beautiful.

‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ is an excellent film, from start to finish, with tension, great visual effects and storytelling at its best.
