When Marnie Was There (2015)

The latest film, and hopefully not the last (the studio has temporarily halted production on future films), from master animation company Studio Ghibli. 'When Marnie Was There' is powerful storytelling, at its best. Boasted with beautiful animation (which is a rarity for feature films using traditional animation, instead of the use of CGI) and likeable characters, with development and charm, 'When Marnie Was There' is emotionally sweet for a puzzled adventure film.
Ant-Man (2015)

Ex Machina (2015)

'Ex Machina' is a simple, yet slightly complex, story about a professional programmer named Caleb who wins a contest with the CEO of Bluebook, the world’s most popular search engine. Caleb has been working on artificial intelligence with a robot named Ava, and needs Caleb's help for his research. 'Ex Machina' is an unpredictable science-fiction story, with great acting and excellent use of visual effects.
Inside Out (2015)

After a string of enjoyable films ‘Brave’ and ‘Monsters University’, and Pixar’s only misstep ‘Cars 2’, Pixar returns to its former glory since ‘Toy Story 3’, and after last year’s absence of a Pixar feature film; the first since 2005, Pixar returns back to its great ability of telling inventive ideas and turning them into great storytelling, and all of these features are present in the studio’s latest film ‘Inside Out'. The film is touching and heartfelt and clearly crafted with as much love as its characters have for the human girl they reside within. 'Inside Out' is a fun ride, it's imaginative, but most of all it will forever change the way you perceive the way people think.
Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015)

"Your mission, should you choose to accept it..." is to see the latest installment in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise, code-named ‘Rogue Nation’. 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' is a complex spy flick with some amazing stunt work, praises to Tom Cruise, good acting and great action sequences.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Put the pedal to the metal for the latest release in the ‘Mad Max’ franchise. ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is an action spectacle, surrounded by immense direction by George Miller and perfectly choreographed action, ‘Fury Road’ has the perfect blend of practical and visual effects, that is so rare to come by in feature films these days, reminiscing the past of 80’s fueled action. The lack of a strong story could be the film’s downfall, as the story takes the backseat to its amazing high stakes action sequences, as the film is a set up from getting to point A to point B, and still, the film could have just delivered on action, and its fans would have still loved it.
Spy (2015)

Melissa McCarthy’s latest film ‘Spy’, directed by Paul Feig, who also worked with McCarthy on their other efforts ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘The Heat’, and the result is a hilarious good time. The film is an often hilarious film that has huge laughs present in the jokes department, and while the story is solid, it does get somewhat lost in the film’s laugh out loud scenarios.‘Spy’ is a funny good time comedy at the movies, and while it does preach for being a tad overlong, it is still a hilarious time with strong comedic performances and a solid story present.
Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)

The sequel to 2012's hilarious 'Pitch Perfect', the follow-up is about everybody’s favourite Barden Bellas, this time being disgraced from their latest performance. With the future of the Barden Bellas at stake, they compete at an international a cappella competition. The cast is all excellent in the sequel, yet again, as the cast really know their characters and hit most of the right notes from the jokes department, which should please the fans and general moviegoers alike.
Jurassic World (2015)

Since the film's release, the film has become a global phenomenon, but the film hasn't received universal acclaim, as 'Jurassic World' is a film you'll either enjoy or dislike. Everybody seems to have their own opinions towards the king of Winter. 'Jurassic World' shows us a dinosaur theme park for the 21st Century in a blockbuster for the 21st Century while reminding us that bigger is not always better and that sometimes nothing beats the original, the 'old school' nostalgia. However, the film can be enjoyed with its dinosaur fueled action.
Minions (2015)

Everyone’s favourite yellow minions are back in a prequel to ‘Despicable Me’ titled ‘Minions’ that set the minions to 1968 B.G. (Before Gru). The story follows the minions’ existence into this world, and set to find their new boss. They land to New York, only to find out they need to get to Orlando for the annual Villain-Con. The film at times has some clever and original jokes present, but it isn’t as consistent with the laughs. The film’s story is enjoyable and fun, but at times you do question some of the story elements, but nevertheless ‘Minions’ will make you smile.
